🚨 Pro Tip for Dryer Safety & Efficiency 🚨
Did you know lint doesn’t just collect on your screen? Many dryers — especially certain LG models — have a hidden compartment below the lint screen that can trap a dangerous amount of lint. 👀
✅ If yours is removable, pull it out and give it a good cleaning.
✅ If not, grab a Lint Lizard off Amazon to vacuum it out.
🔥 Pro hack: tape a wire hanger to the Lint Lizard to help guide it where you need it.
A few minutes of maintenance can save you from higher energy bills — and even a fire hazard. Stay safe, friends! 💨👕

First bird of the year! 🐦🔥 Dryer vents aren’t just about lint — birds love to make them home too. That’s why we’re now officially adding MN Bird Pros to the list of nicknames we’ve earned over the years.
If you haven’t had your dryer vent inspected or cleaned yet this year, this is your reminder. A blocked vent is more than an inconvenience — it’s a fire hazard.

💨 Brand New Home, Same Old Dust 💨
Most local builders are offering a “new home special” — buy a fresh build and get years of drywall dust in your lungs for free.
No, really. We’ve inspected over 250 new builds and all except 1 of them looked like this before we cleaned them.
Just because it’s new… doesn’t mean it’s clean.
Just because it’s shiny… doesn’t mean it’s safe.
Your lungs deserve better. Your home does too.

On today's episode of "To Catch A Lazy Remodeler". Can you trust your remodeling company to not use your vents at trash cans? The answer is no (yes, thats 3 rolls of tape they threw down one vent and fiberglass insulation in another). Can you trust your remodeling company to do proper containment, seal vents, and turn off the system during dust creating portions? Still no. Stay tuned for next week's episode.
Another one? Thanks to the negligence by the builders on this 2 year old home, this family was about as close to a dryer fire as you can be. Not to mention the dangers caused by a gas dryer not being able to exhaust dangerous gasses to outside the home. Dryer vent fires are the leading cause of home fires in the U.S. This is the exact reason we make these posts. They called us because of our post they saw yesterday, who knows how much longer they had before disaster.
The NFPA recommends annual dryer vent cleaning. This one was neglected for a bit too long, resulting in excessive internal build-up in the dryer itself. When this happens, it's basically a ticking time bomb until the lint in the dryer lights on fire. Not one of those things you want to learn the hard way... Don't trust the Joe's, Trust the Pro's @mnductpros
Lesson 1: Hire an insulation company that is smarter than blowing insulation into your trunk line.
Lesson 2: Hire an air duct cleaning company that actually cleans the whole system and removes said insulation so your family doesn't have to breathe fiberglass.
This customer paid almost $1000 to a competitor (rhymes with herofez) who obviously did a horrible job of cleaning the system. I think they missed something.
Trust the Pro's! MN Duct Pros!
There isn't much that surprises us these days, but this was a first. From mice to food to undergarments, we have seen almost everything. This customer called about poor air flow from a vent in their kiddo's bedroom. Upon video inspection, we found a complete blockage of what appeared to be carpet scraps. Upon retrieval, it turned out to be about 30 ft of makeshift materials tied together as a rope. Bet you can't guess what was at the end of the "rope".
